　　1、参加GRE考试的目的?

　　GRE是美国研究生的入学考试，是考察你是否具有研究生的资格，适用于除法律与商业外的各个专业。GRE是由美国教育考试服务处也就是ETS主办，是美国、加拿大的大学除了管理类学院和法学院之外的各类研究生院要求申请者所必须具备的一个考试成绩，也是教授对申请者是否授予奖学金所依据的最重要的标准。

　　申请研究生一般都要求有GRE成绩(一般为理工科)，如果想就读商学院，需要GMAT成绩，还要有至少两年的从业经验，申请法学院研究生需要LSAT成绩。如果你的GRE成绩很高的话，对于申请奖学金是非常有利的。

　　2、GRE是否为就读美研究生?

　　并不是申请美国所有专业都要求有GRE成绩的。GRE一般针对美国理工科和一些文科专业，如英语教学专业(TESOL)，还有很多大学只要求申请人提供托福成绩。

　　此外，美国某些大学的一些交叉学科，如工程管理、图书馆信息系统等专业也不需要GRE成绩。所以，如果你是想报考这类专业的话就不必准备GRE考试了。

　　3、新GRE考试内容

　　GRE考试分为两种：一种是一般能力或称倾向性试试,一种是专业试试或称为优级试试。大多数考生都是考的首要种，后一种是给转专业的学生考的。

　　一般能力考试是双模式考试，分为两个部分：机考和笔考。顺序是先是考机考，再考笔考。

　　分析性写作AW是机考，考一篇issue(45min),一篇argument(30min) 。分析性写作部分的机考时间总共是两小时。

　　语文和数学两部分是笔考。它主要考察应试人的基本英语能力以及对英文方面知识所涉及的广度和深度。

　　数学比较简单，如果中国考生能够对题目叙述和说明有一个准确的理解的话，还是比较容易通过的。

　　传统GRE考试的语文部分包括了类比反义、填空、阅读。自从GRE改变后，对词汇的考查发生了变化，取消了类比反义词部分，这在一定程度上减轻了对词汇的考查，但是也需要考生大量背诵单词的，单词是基础。

　　4、GRE考试报名流程

　　首要、先注册用户。如果你从未使用过GRE报名系统，那么先注册成为用户。选择“新用户注册”进入。

　　第二、提供基本的个人资料如：姓名、证件号码、邮寄地址、电话号码和电子信箱地址。

　　第三、填写报名表。选择“新考试预约”，同意“重要声明”的内容，再填写考试预约登记表。

　　5、考试流程

　　考生至少要在公布的预约时间前30分钟到场，在去考场之前一定要准备好确认信和身份证，除此之外，任何个人物品都不允许带入考场。
